Revenant artifacts gifted to TAT

The bull boat, bone and antler gardening tools and leather and fur clothing look like they could be out of any museum of early American history in the nation. But they are all fairly new.
Because of the generosity of the production company, the Three Affiliated Tribes were given a gift of an estimated quarter-million dollars worth of props and costumes used in the filming of the 2015 blockbuster movie, The Revenant.
The movie takes place in the 1820s and tells the story of mountain man Hugh Glass, who was played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Glass was mauled by a bear and left for dead by his companions but was nursed back to health by members of the Arikara tribe, who lived in South Dakota at the time. Members of the Three Affiliated Tribes were technical advisors for the film and offered a blessing when the film was completed.
Buzz Wasler, with New Regency Productions, thanked Jason Morsette, Alfred Morsette III, and Lesley Hale-Hammerberg for performing the four leg blessing for the crew and production company. He said the power of that blessing led him to try and persuade the company to donate the material from the movie to the tribe rather than selling it as memorabilia.
