Protest results in document release

By Jerry W. Kram

The Three Affiliated Tribes Administration Building was the scene of a protest Monday by about 50 tribal members calling for the release of a document summarizing an investigation of Tribal Chairman Tex Hall relationship with a man suspected in a murder for hire case.

The suspect, James Terry Henrikson, was a subcontractor for Hall’s oilfield services company. In January, the Tribal Business Council authorized an independent investigation of Hall’s relationship with Henrikson to be conducted by a Kansas City law firm. The results of the investigation were presented to the council at a recent meeting, but the council decided not to release the documents until Hall had a chance to respond. Hall submitted a response at the most recent council meeting.
