Planning Session at Four Bears

Planning Session at Four Bears

Community and tribal leaders and residents will get a chance to take part in strategic planning sessions as part of the Vision West ND project on September 18-19. The Vision West ND project, which covers the nineteen oil and gas producing counties in western North Dakota, officially kicked off its first Planning Session in Watford City on February 29th and is making the rounds to approximately 20 other communities and counties in the region to conduct similar planning sessions by the end of 2012.
The Vision West ND Planning Session is a quick hitting planning session that takes place within a two to three day period. A steering committee of approximately ten to twelve leaders in the Four Bears area is being assembled to take part in the Planning Session.
This two day strategic planning session will cover everything from identifying the strategies most likely to succeed in the communities located within the county to selection of the strategies and drafting a plan. Area residents will be invited to participate in the Planning Session process through a Town Hall public meeting process. The Town Hall public meeting will be held Tuesday, September 18th from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Johnny Bird Memorial Building located at 2000 Chief Four Bears Ave. in New Town. After the town hall meeting, residents can continue to engage through a special community engagement MindMIxer website at ideas.visionwestnd.com.
