Northrop Grumman celebrates 40 years
Aerospace systems manufacturer throws out red carpet for Fort Berthold employees

Employees of Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE: NOC) New Town facility, their families, state and local elected officials and visiting dignitaries joined together on Friday, Aug. 6 to celebrate the company’s 40 years as an integral and valued member of the community.
The anniversary party, marked by a barbecue, face painting, karaoke and dancing in New Town’s Van Hook Park, brought together people for whom the facility has been a significant part of life. Attendees included Gov. John Hoeven (R- N.D.); Marcus Levings, chairman of the Three Affiliated Tribes; Dan Uran, mayor of New Town; representatives for several members of North Dakota’s Congressional delegation; and Northrop Grumman officials.
“I want you to know how much I appreciate the work you’ve done, the work ethic you bring, and the role you’ve played in helping bring positive attention to the great state of North Dakota,” Hoeven told the gathering of current and former employees. “The work you’re doing on the Global Hawk (high altitude long endurance unmanned aircraft), for example, is helping us turn Grand Forks into one of the nation’s premier centers for unmanned aircraft systems.”
The New Town facility produces RF and fiber-optic cables, and wire harnesses essential to key Northrop Grumman aircraft programs such as the F/A-18 Hornet and Global Hawk.
