Mandaree excited for beginning of new school project
By Logan J. Davis
There were many excited people gathered last week near the Mandaree Rodeo Grounds where a new school will be built. Heavy equipment is already starting the landscaping of the site and the countless meetings and meticulous planning is bearing fruit. West Segment Councilman Randy Phelan, Mandaree School Board members, contractors, community members and many students took part in what was a memorable groundbreaking ceremony.
The new Mandaree school will be a state-of-the-art educational facility for the Mandaree community and the students. The project is essentially a $40 million investment in the education of many generations of Mandaree students and also includes 40 new units of teacher housing.
