LCLC celebrates 50 years of service
By Edna Sailor
Fifty years is a long time or at least it seems like a long time to most people. Over at the Lakeside Community Living Center they are experiencing that benchmark.
To many of us it may not have seemed that long ago when the center opened its doors, but it has been 50 years now and the staff is making a pretty big deal out of it.
Together with the New Town Health Support Corporation and board, the center plans a September 15 Anniversary celebration and they are inviting the community to come and celebrate with them.
The events will begin with a program and short meeting to include financial standing information at 11:30 a.m. A free barbeque will be held after the meeting. Activities are open to the public.
