Hoeven congratulates Northrop Grumman on new North Dakota office
Gov. John Hoeven Friday congratulated defense industry leader Northrop Grumman Corp. for its new Grand Forks office. Northrop is establishing the office in anticipation of the arrival of RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance aircraft at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. The company already has 135 employees at its New Town facility, where they make the wiring harnesses for the Global Hawk and other unmanned aerial systems.
Northrop Grumman’s new office will be located in the Ina Mae Rude Entrepreneur Center at the University of North Dakota Center for Innovation, where they plan to hire approximately 25 employees within the year, and as many as 100 over time.
“We want to welcome Northrop Grumman to Grand Forks, and congratulate them not only on the launch of this new, advanced facility, but also on 40 years of quality manufacturing in North Dakota,” Hoeven said. “Their decision to locate near our UAS Center of Excellence and the Grand Forks Air Force Base is a win for Northrop and a win for North Dakota. We’re proud to partner with them and their affiliated companies.”
