Hear those motors rumble
BY JERRY W. KRAM
Th e chrome gleamed and the motors either growled or purred as the second annual New Town Chamber Classic Car Show graced the Main Street of New Town.
Twenty-five owners entered 27 cars ranging from a 1916 Dodge modifi ed into a “rat rod” to recent collector cars like a Shelby Cobra and a Porsche 911.
“There was a good variety of cars,” said William McCorkle of New Rockford, who was one of the show’s judges. “I think it was an awesome turnout with some incredibly rare vehicles showed up. Th ese are just things that you don’t see on a day to day basis.”
