Four Bears welcomes another Little Shell Celebration

Four Bears welcomes another Little Shell Celebration
By Jerry W. Kram

The timeless beauty of more than a dozen drums sounding ancient rhythms will resound across the Missouri River once more as the Antelope Society again presents the Little Shell Celebration in Four Bears.
Flag raising will be at 8 a.m. daily starting on Thursday. Veterans from all branches of the service will conduct the ceremonies. Grand Entries will be held at 7 p.m. all four days and at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
From elders to tiny tots, there are events for every generation to participate in and enjoy. More than a dozen specials are scheduled over the four day event. The celebration is also a time for public ceremonies of the MHA people. Naming ceremonies, adoptions and other commemorations are publicly celebrated during the event.
