Four Bears Lodge adds 122 rooms

The Four Bears Casino & Lodge broke ground in April on a major expansion. On Wednesday, Three Affiliated Tribes Chairman Tex Hall manned the big scissors to cut the ribbon marking the expansion’s grand opening.
The 122-room hotel addition to the existing 4 Bears Casino & Lodge includes 100 standard rooms, 20 suites, and two executive suites with walk out balconies. The new design will place an emphasis on functionality, sustainability and aesthetics, with many rooms showcasing the spectacular views of Lake Sakakawea. The executive suites are over 1,600 square feet each with upgrades throughout.
The entire hotel project itself was funded entirely by the Three Affiliated Tribes. According to Hall, the tribe spent $12 million on the project. He noted that the casino and hotel had shown increased profits each of the last three years. He congratulated general manager Pat Packineau on that achievement noting that many Indian casinos weren’t seeing that same kind of growth.
The additional hotel rooms are just the first stage of the expansion, Packineau said. Now that the lodge is taking reservations for its new rooms, work will begin on adding a new fine dining restaurant and additional meeting space to the structure.
