A film that will be shown in New Town next Thursday is said to be offer an innovative approach to reversing diabetes in as little as 30 days.
Waylon Pretends Eagle, representing First Nations Innovations, has set up the documentary that will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night in the Northern Lights Community Center. The film will be hosted by First Nations, the Fort Berthold Boys and Girls Club Holistic Wellness program and the Three Affiliated Tribes Diabetes program.
According to Pretends Eagle, the film titled, “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days, is a look at eating raw foods like vegetables and fruits that greatly reduce the amount of sugar, fat, sodium and calories that we too often consume.
“Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days” is an independent documentary that chronicles six Americans with “incurable” diabetes switching their diet and getting off insulin,” Pretends Eagle said. “It follows each participant’s remarkable journey and captures the medical, physical and emotional transformations brought on by this radical diet and lifestyle change. We witness moments of struggle, support and hope as what is revealed, with startling clarity, is that diet can reverse disease and change lives.”
