County seeks to increase 2020 Census response
The Mountrail County Commissioners are asking everyone to take a few moments and self-respond to the 2020 Census.
This past month, our lives have been turned upside down. The coronavirus is spreading rapidly throughout the world and our lives are left with uncertainty. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the US Census is suspending/delaying 2020 Census field operations to help protect the health and safety of the American public. The commissioners can’t express how important it is for you to self-respond to the 2020 Census, our communities will need all the funding we can get for schools, hospitals, emergency services, infrastructure and other vital programs and services.
People who receive your mail by residential address should have received an invitation to self-respond to the 2020 Census along with a Census ID#.
