City council highlights projects in progress
New Town city council members talked about a number of items during the regular meeting Aug 20, but projects in progress took center stage. As an example, the city is requesting an official progress report on the Breslin paving project from Bureau of Indian Affairs in Aberdeen, S.D. A report has not been submitted and it appears that the project is lagging. In addition, the council is seeking bids for the paving of 7th and 8th streets North, now that water and sewer lines have been put in and are secure.
