Busy weekend
Powwow, races among New Town events

This will be a busy weekend around the New Town and Four Bears area with many events planned in conjunction with the Little Shell Powwow.
The Powwow will be held at the Powwow grounds in the Four Bears Park south of the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge beginning on Thursday, August 7. Grand Entry Thursday will be at 6 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 p.m. Friday. Grand Entries Friday and Saturday will be at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Flag raising will be at 8 a.m. daily and all area veterans’ organizations are invited to participate.
Scheduled events during the powwow include a walk in memory of Scott Eagle at 10 a.m. with a giveaway memorial and feed at 5 p.m. Thursday will also see dance specials for Jr. Boys Traditional Dance and a Teen Boys Traditional Dance in honor of Eric Smith, USMC.
