Bringing gardens to the people
By Edna Sailor
It seems like spring. The snow is melting and avid gardeners are gathering their seeds for planting. Nowhere is that more obvious than at Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College.
Jessica Marshall is the new Foods Coordinator at NHS. She has already been active in planning for the college’s garden project this year. Her goal to provide expertise and ensure that people who want to garden are given the opportunity. Marshall and the college offer both space and information. The space is located about a mile east of New Town, on the south side of highway 23.
Marshall is a graduate of the NDSU Master Gardeners Program. She encourages others to check it out. Marshall encourages community members to engage in gardening.
