Warren Bratvold has had several jobs in his adult life but has never enjoyed one more than the retail store he has operated the past 10 years.
Bratvold and his wife Geri, are retiring from Bratvold Variety after selling their business to the Three Affiliated Tribes. The Northern Starr gift shop, currently on the east end of New Town, will soon be located in the variety store.
“Northern Starr is moving in here and they bought all three lots,” Warren Bratvold said. “It’s been appraised and inspected. Everything is done.”
He said there isn’t a whole lot of merchandise remaining in the store as the going-out-of business sale has been on several weeks. Regardless, he and Geri are transitioning the Northern Starr staff.
They both agree it’s been a great run and although Geri Bratvold said it has sometimes been difficult working at the store and as a school district employee, she has enjoyed it nonetheless.
