A new school in New Town

A new school in New Town
by Jerry W. Kram

Classes have been underway for a few days in the new New Town High School building, but the facility got its official kick off with a ribbon cutting Monday night.
Wayne Sanstead, Superintendent of Public Instruction for the last 28 years, was on hand to help dedicate the structure. He said one of the best parts of his job was to travel to different schools and help them celebrate happy occasions. He was very impressed by the new addition that will house the New Town School District’s high school students.
New Town School Superintendent Marc Bluestone also spoke. He went through the list of all the additions and improvements that have been made to the school over the last few years, including new windows and geothermal heating at the Edwin Loe Elementary School, and two pages of improvements and new equipment in the middle and high school.
