New Town schools to tighten eligibility

Bypass bypassed
Concerns of the Three Affiliated Tribes will delay the start of construction on the North Dakota Highway 23 truck reliever route or bypass, possibly pushing the completion of the project into the 2014 construction season.
New Town receives $10 million in grants
New Town will receive $10 million in grants from the state of North Dakota in energy impact grants. The city will use the funds to expand the New Town Water Plant and to install infrastructure for residential development on Outlot 2 on Sand Hill.
Reward offered for horse killers
Daryl Pennington is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing two one-month old colts on his ranch three miles north of the Scenic 23 on North Dakota Highway 8 sometime Monday June 24.

The day was bright and beautiful as members of the MHA Nation gathered at the Little Shell Powwow Grounds in Four Bears to celebrate the MHA Elders Organization Fourth Annual Prayer Day.
Additional pickups stolen in area
Two more pickups were stolen in the area on Saturday, June 15, according to Mountrail County Sheriff Ken Halvorson. He said there is reason to believe that the thefts are related to five pickups that were stolen on May 30 and 31.
