Zombies and ghouls run over Parshall

Zombies and ghouls run over Parshall

By Logan J. Davis
Parshall was ready for the zombie invasion last week. For a chilly Sunday morning, there was a great turnout with fun-loving people of all ages enjoying the Parshall/Lucky Mound Haunted Hustle together.
It was a blast for all who took part and the organizers were happy with the success and community participation. Parshall/Lucky Mound Fitness Coordinators Cheyannea Hart and Melichi Four Bear worked in tandem to make it all go smoothly. The course was set for five kilometers and the elders had a one-mile course.
There were a lot of great costumes worn by the participants such as skeleton men, fairies, princesses, werewolves, zombies, scary clowns and even Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Spider Man showed up. The Northeast Segment Fitness Recreation supplied some nice medals for all participants and afterwards a breakfast brunch. There were also some snappy-looking long-sleeved shirts that displayed the event logo and theme that were given out to each event participant. The Fort Berthold Diabetes Program was there to help out and there was some Halloween music blasting away to get everyone in the mood to move. The deejay that morning was Kyle DeCoteau.
