Trunk and Treat haunts Main Street

Trunk and Treat haunts Main Street

By Edna Sailor
Someone said boo. No one was scared. The pint sized gremlins and Halloween characters of all kinds that haunted Main Street in Parshall Thursday evening were more cute than scary.
Adults also braved the brisk, cold wind to provide just the right spooky trunk to attract eager visitors. A skeleton and a wolf guarded one trunk. Adult witches, a scarecrow and a ghost added charm and watchful adult eyes to the scene.
Trunk loads of candy treats and small toys waited for children to eagerly fill their bags to their hearts content.
Toddler, Griffin Tollefson, was just content to have his mom carry him along the street in his adorable blue lamb costume. Heyden and Tently Tollefson hung out with Bella, Ivy and Eva Johnson for comfort in numbers.
When asked what they thought the best part of the evening was for them, they were solid in their responses.
“It’s the treats,” came the chorus of replies.
