Tribe studying potential bridge projects

By Jerry W. Kram
A part of its plan to create a comprehensive regional transportation plan, the Three Affiliated Tribes is studying the possibility of connecting the communities of the Fort Berthold Reservation by bridge.
About 30 people attended a meeting in New Town for the second technical advisory committee of the bridge committee of the Fort Berthold Comprehensive Regional Transportation Plan on Wednesday. Public meetings across the reservation last year led to the identification of two possible projects that would reconnect the portions of tribal areas separated by the creation of Lake Sakakawea.
