Testing shows student progress

By Jerry W. Kram

The Parshall School Board reviewed the results this year’s Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) tests completed by Parshall School Students. Scores at the elementary school show that students made good progress, but high school scores were mixed.

School counselors Matt Coomer and Sarah Porter presented the results and gave their opinions on what the numbers showed. Porter said that all of the elementary school classes showed strong progress in language, reading and Math from the fall and winter tests, with the exception of one sixth grade class’ language test. Porter said that could have been caused by the sixth graders being tested first before some of the material on the test was presented in their class.
