Tax program has stumbles
By Jerry W. Kram
The program the city of Parshall paid $100.000 for two years ago to automate and modernize its property tax assessments has hit a few stumbling blocks.
Karla Harmel, with AE2S Engineering, has been working on the updating Parshall’s city property assessments for the last 18 months. She explained that the data collected on properties in the city are supposed to be entered into a website where the information is saved. She said that for an unknown period, the data that has been entered doesn’t seem to have been uploaded or saved.
