The Parshall School Board met with Gary Schnellert from MacPherson & Jacobson to discuss the candidates for superintendent at a special meeting on July 6.
Schnellert said eight complete applications were received.
“It was a very successful search. I was very pleased with the results,” said Schnellert, saying that all the candidates had “good skills, good backgrounds and good references.”
Of the eight, Schnellert said four were chosen to come and interview at Parshall. These four include Dr. Joseph Hunter, superintendent of the Central 13-J district in Monmouth, Ore.; Daniel Lantis, superintendent of the Savage Public School District in Savage, Mont.; Dr. Janine Wahl, from Monticello, Iowa, who supervises superintendents through the Grant Wood Area Education Agency; and Dr. John Weidner, superintendent of the Wapello Community School District in Wapello, Iowa.
