Still working the kinks out

Starting in on the second week of distance learning as required by the State of North Dakota’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, most students are adapting to the situation but some will need extra help from family and the school.
Parshall School Superintendent Shane Sagert and Principals Amber Youngbird and Anthony Esquibel reported to the Parshall School Board while most students were adapting to working on their lessons at home, some need further assistance.
“A lot of the problems have to do with the tech,” Youngbird said. “Getting and completing their assignments is a multi-step process. They have to get the assignment, go to Google docs, download the assignment, send it back. If they get any one step wrong, they can’t do the assignment so they get frustrated and quit. Should we be flunking a student who knows the material but can’t solve a tech issue?”
