New towing service begins in area
By Jerry W. Kram
With the amount of traffic soaring to previously unimaginable heights, the need for assistance to cope with the inevitable breakdowns and accidents has soared as well. Doug Staller of Minot has started a company that will help drivers after things go wrong.
Staller’s company, On Demand Recovery Service, will be taking over the towing and wrecker service formerly provided by Rensch Chevrolet. Staller said because of booming business, Rensch’s has decided to concentrate on car sales and repairs and limit its towing service to its customers, so it sold the remainder of the business to him.
“Rensch’s has been in this business for about 30 years or something like that and they want to turn these accounts over to someone that is going to have the same level of service to the community,” Staller said. “That’s one reason we are going to start out as owner operated. I’m not going to just be the business end of it and hire someone to do the work. I’m going to come out and actually establish it myself.”
