St. Bridget’s celebrates its centennial

It began in 1916 with a $500 donation from settlers for a $3,000 small frame church that was built and named Saint Bridget. That was one hundred years ago. As would be expected, the church will celebrate this special anniversary on July 23.

“Reaching 100 years is a major milestone for anything. It’s a reminder of the effort, faith, and determination the parish had to have to maintain through the years,” she said.
