SMART Boards add new dimension in learning for students and teachers

When you walk into the Parhsall Elementary School, it looks like any other. There are wide, well-lit hallways, young children are scurrying off to their home rooms and posters wishing the local high school football team good luck in the state championship remain two weeks after the contest.
But walk into any classroom in Parshall Elementary and you’ll see a very large computer screen mounted to a wall that resembles an easel. It’s called a SMART Board and it’s the latest classroom technology.
Actually, SMART Board technology has been around since 1991 and has been used primarily in the professional world. The military has begun using the programs in recent years and now it is becoming affordable for public schools.
