School project on track

School project on track

Classes should start after Thanksgiving break

The new high school in Parshall has been taking shape for months and this week the public got a peek inside to see how much progress has been made.
Chris Sievert, project director for Consolidated Construction, was among those giving tours of the school, pointing out the nearly finished classrooms and areas where more work will be needed. He said 2019 was a bad winter for construction, but the summer has been great for the builders and any lost time has been made up. Plans are to have classes begin in the new school after the Thanksgiving break in November.
“It’s been busy and exciting and things are taking shape on the building,” Sievert said. “Things are coming together as planned. We’re happy and excited for the home stretch.”
Sievert credited the work of Consolidated’s subcontractors and the Parshall School board for making his job easier.
“We are really happy with the work of our subcontractors,” he said. “The school district and its board have been making decisions in a timely way and that has helped things go well.”
Sievert said that when the school is completed he thinks people will be impressed when they walk through the doors.
