They overcame numerous obstacles, but in the end, they competed in the Bismarck Marathon and came home satisfied with accomplishing their goals.
Four employees of RTC, Stacey Dazell, Brooks Goodall, Lisa Schenfish and Felicia Jarske, competed in the corporate marathon relay, while a fifth person, Trina Larson, who is not an employee, was a last minute substitute because of a death in the family of Janelle Lynne who was planning on running.
Debbie Hansen, who also works at RTC, ran in a 5-K race on the same day, Sept. 18.
Dazell was one of the runners in the group who started and ended the grueling run at Riverwood Golf Course. The marathon was held last Saturday in weather conditions that Dazell described as less than favorable.
“It was chilly and it was snowing on the way to Bismarck so we weren’t sure if we were even going to compete,” Dazell said. “But everyone finished and we met the goals we set for ourselves.”
