Rock View to become a community center

Rock View Administrator Val Eide and Parshall 2000 President Kenton Onstad announced at a press conference and transition ceremony on June 2 in Parshall that the Good Samaritan Society, Rock View nursing home will be converted into a community center.
Eide led those gathered in a brief service of transition. She spoke of Rock View’s initial planning and opening on August 25, 1978. Eide thanked God for continued blessings and all those involved in Rock View’s operation over the years. She noted that Rock View has always served not only its residents, but the community as a whole. Eide then announced the transition of the nursing home to a community center to be owned and operated by the Parshall 2000 Committee.
Royce Aslakson, CEO/General Manager of RTC also addressed the group, thanking Onstad for his continued interest and support, and stated that without Onstad’s leadership, the community center would not have been possible.
