Plaza turns 113, celebrates with class reunions

By Edna Sailor
The twentieth of July is a date that is dear to the hearts of people who live in Plaza and those who return each year to help celebrate the founding date of the small community. This year’s celebration was no exception.
The gathering of friends and neighbors is also a great opportunity for classes to hold their class reunions. This year the graduating classes of 1959 and 1964 gathered at the Senior Center to talk over old times and renew lifelong friendships.
“It has been sixty years for us. We have spent a large part of our lives together from first grade to graduation and our classmates are very important to us. We all go on with our lives and don’t see each other for many years, so this may even be the last time for some of us,” Gladwyn Lynne, class of 1959, said.
