Parshall teems minister to British youth

Parshall teems minister to British youth
A group of teenagers from Parshall took a trip of a lifetime last summer and are hoping they can raise enough funding to make a return trip and continue their missionary work in the United Kingdom.
Twins Cody and Ashley Folden, 15, Regan Christenson, 15 and her brother Lincoln Christenson, 13, say they are willing to go back to a part of England that most people don’t know about, a part that is impoverished, and runs rampant with drugs. It’s a place where depression is common place and family structure is suspect at best.
A fifth Parshall teen who joined them on the trip, Jake Folven, has since moved to Bottineau and was unavailable for comment.
So why would a happy-go-lucky group of typical teenagers from small-town North Dakota want to return to a place that rivals the ghettos of London? It’s because they all believe they were successful in ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their British peers.
“It was really amazing,” Ashley Folden said. “God called us there for a reason.”
The group left July 18 and returned Aug. 9. They traveled to a community called Nuneaton, which is near Birmingham, England. Cody Folden said Nuneaton is about the size of Minot, but is quite different.
