Parades in Parshall make for double fun
By Logan J. Davis
Two great back-to-back parades made for a busy afternoon for the folks in Parshall who were able to enjoy the Little Feather Head Start parade and the Parshall School Teachers Parade on Monday afternoon.
There were 14 Head Start students transitioning to kindergarten next year between the two centers, Little Feather 1 and Little Feather 2. Each of the students were in vehicles and one was on a four-wheel ATV. There were 38 Head Start students this year attending Little Feather Head Start.
The first parade for the youngest graduates of the Parshall education system consisted of parents chauffeuring their little graduates through main street and around town. The students all were wearing their caps and gowns like the proud graduates they are. The parade for the Head Start students coincided with the students
“It all went really well and successful. We accomplished all of the goals we wanted even though it was on Zoom and meetings online with staff from all eight centers,” said Marilyn “Tootsie” Jacobs, one of the teachers at Little Feather 1.
The Little Feather staff stayed at the center in Parshall and gave out diplomas and certificates to the 38 students. TAT Head Start gave out $30 gift cards for food on Monday to every family and placed in a snack bag and treats and also the children received a $20 from Target.
