More changes coming to Parshall

Parshall has added a number of new businesses and housing in the last couple of years, but more changes are on the way says Lucky Mound Segment Representative Mervin Packineau.
Packineau said the Segment is pursuing several projects that will keep Parshall on a path of growth in the coming years. Many of those plans involve developing the Wild Horse Addition, a new development where the Boys and Girls Club was built in 2018.
The first new facility in the addition will be a daycare that is nearly complete. The facility will replace the existing tribal daycare building located near the clinic in Parshall. The daycare will open this summer, Packineau said.
“We outgrew our old one and needed a bigger one,” Packineau said. “We didn’t realize that we would grow so fast. With all the people who want to enroll their kids in daycare now, and realize how good of a facility we have, we have no more room. We have an excellent staff. People like sending their kids there because they know they will be well taken care of and be ready to move on to kindergarten.”
