Makoti centennial on the horizon

With Makoti’s centennial celebration less than a month away (July 7-10), the final touches are being put in place by the centennial committees.
The centennial will kick off Thursday, July 7 with a picnic supper. The supper will be a free-will offering with all proceeds going to the park and swimming pool fund.
According to Chair of Registration Lisa Schenfisch, a centennial quilt was made and donated by Bonnie Fyllesvold to be raffled off.
“It’s a beautiful quilt featuring historical pictures from Makoti’s past,” said Schenfisch, “We will start selling raffle tickets soon, and they will be available during the centennial as well.”
