A proposed board resolution to set up a committee to analyze prior financial allegations was defeated 3-2 during a Lewis and Clark School Board meeting held Thursday nigth in Berthold.
Lee Brandvold, a board member from Ryder, made the lengthy motion while the board discussed the agenda item future planning. He said there have been a lot of issues that haven’t been resolved since Berthold, Plaza and North Shore consolidated in July 2003 and he would like to see the board nullify these issues.
One of them, according to Brandvold, was financial misrepresentation by Berthold district representatives to get Plaza and North Shore, which includes Ryder and Makoti, to join a larger, consolidated district that became known as the Lewis and Clark School District.
