Langhans funeral home gets makeover

The Langhans Funeral Home, a fixture on the south end of Main Street for years is getting a makeover.
Paul Langhans said his family purchased the home from Jim and Carol Johnson 10 years ago. Langhans serves the communities of Parshall, New Town, White Shield and Makoti, Langhans said. The updates will enable the company to better serve its clients.
“It’s been a few years since we closed down the facility in New Town,” Langhans said. “We’re renovating the building in Parshall to make one nice facility for the communities we serve.”
Langhans said people will notice two big changes. The renovations reduced the size of the living quarters in the building to expand its chapel and add a second room for an overflow area or hold a second service if needed. The sales area will be moved from the basement of the building to the main floor.
