Judge orders new election
Judge orders new election
Three Affiliated Tribes chief judge Vance Gillette has determined a new election for a two-vote race in the Nov. 4 election is in the best interest of the voters. Gillette found out that two Soldiers were improperly denied the right to vote and ordered the election board to notify the public of a new election in the White Shield segment within two weeks of Nov. 20. Frank WhiteCalfe won the election by two votes, 196-194 over Fred Fox and Whitecalfe was later sworn into the Three Affiliated Tribes Business Council. Fox later lost a challenge filed by the election board.
