Joining forces against Coronavirus

Joining forces against Coronavirus

By Logan J. Davis

The Northeast Segment staff held a mandatory strategic meeting regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Tuesday.
The meeting was called by Councilman Mervin Packineau in order to clarify the situation and the need for an organized effort in communication and cooperation. Packineau emphasized that the Northeast Segment staff must work together to protect themselves, their families and the entire community.
Globally, the coronavirus has caused the closure of many major events. The local community is being affected by the rapidly increasing demands for essential goods and non-perishable items. However, it is the health and well-being of the people that Packineau is focused on in the coming days ahead.
Packineau laid out the local strategies and the need to take the situation seriously but not to panic.
“These are some scary times, but the best thing we can do is keep from spreading the virus is self-care,” Packineau said. You can always try your best to take care of yourselves. If you’re sick, stay home,
