Highlands of Parshall receives housing funds

Highlands of Parshall receives housing funds
The Highlands of Parshall, a 320 acre development on the north side of Parshall, has received $400,000 for the development of low income housing from the he North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) Housing Incentive Fund (HIF).
The HIF granted $400,000 to Highlands of Parshall, LLC to construct 45 units in The Highlands of Parshall. Total development cost for the units is $5,451,000. The units will be part of the initial phase of the development, which will eventually include more than 300 homes plus apartment buildings and commercial developments.
The Highlands of Parshall was one of three final grants issued by the HIF for this fiscal year. The projects were $112,500 to Bruce and Emery Lindgren to rehabilitate an existing uninhabitable structure in Kulm and $584,192 to Yegen Development Corp. to rehabilitate an existing uninhabitable structure in Mandan. These grants brought the number of projects assisted by fund to 26. The 23 projects previously selected are located in Beach, Belfield, Bowman, Crosby, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Grand Forks, Kenmare, Killdeer, Minot, Ray, Watford City and Williston.
