Hearing date is set for North Shore annexation

The date for a public hearing to consider a petition for annexing territory to the Max School District from Lewis & Clark School District has been set.
The meeting will be Monday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. in the commissioners’ chambers, Ward County Courthouse, Minot. The hearing is by the Ward and McLean County School District Reorganization Committee. Lewis & Clark School District is located primarily in Ward County and Max School District is located primarily in McLean County.
Portions of eight Ward County townships are included in the annexation request as are portions of two McLean County townships.
Ward County townships include Hiddenwood, Linton, Vang, Orlien, Anna, Rice Lake, Ryder and Cameron. Townships in McLean County include Blue Hill and Gate.
