Harvestfest coming to Parshall next week

Considered a wonderful success in its inaugural year in 2008, the Parshall Promoters Harvestfest is back for a second go round and will increase activity in Parshall next Friday and Saturday.
According to Cindy Williamson of the Parshall Promoters, there are still some Harvestfest raffle tickets available for those who want to partake in this new celebration of the growing season winding down.
“I guess the most important thins is to just talk about the activities,” Williamson said. “We encourage everyone to join the festivities and the fun.”
The activities begin on Friday, Aug. 14 with a street dance and a raffle. It’s on Saturday when the action is taken up a notch.
From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., a kite festival will take place in which people can purchase kites and lawn ornaments. There will also be a bouncy house with obstacle course near the kite festival.
From noon-3 p.m., a “fun in the mud” ATV run will take place and even though Williamson said spectators are welcome, they should get there early to get a good spot for the highly popular event.
