Frac sand facility to be built in Makoti

There’s a new business coming to the Makoti area.
Officials with Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd., and Smart Sand Inc., of Fairless Hills, Pa., announced they plan to build a new frac sand transload facility near the southwest Ward County community. The terminal will serve the Bakken formation in the Williston Basin. The companies announced the partnership this past week. The goal is to have the facility on-line by next year.
