It appears Parshall’s subtle growth in the past two years is going to change as city council meetings are becoming busy with building permits and construction.
In addition to a new city building and water treatment plant outside of town that are currently being built, two new building permits were OK’d during Tuesday’s regular city council meeting.
The first, which was actually split into two permits, was to Lutheran Social Services to build apartments in two locations in Parshall. The first calls for two four-plexes that will be located immediately east of Monte’s Body Shop in an open lot.
There was an issue regarding the exact location of the alley to the east, but the alley was vacated by the city council and the permit was OK’d.
The second Lutheran Social Services permit calls for four duplexes to be built south of the Bill Gillies residence in the extreme southwest part of the city.
