Community Foundation to serve Parshall area

A new organization has been created to help make Parshall a better and more enjoyable community.
The Parshall Area Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that will make grants for community projects and to community organizations. Kenton Onstad said the foundation will be a member of the North Dakota Community Foundation which has committed matching grants to get things started.
“The North Dakota Community Foundation will be the mainstay,” Onstad said. “They will oversee the funds, they will make the investments. The Parshall Area Community Foundation will be a separate account and any interest earned from our endeavors will come back to the Parshall area.”
