Classic Performance and Tire opens in Makoti

If you ask family friends or neighbors about Robbie Edwards’ affinity toward trucks, cars and motors, they will tell you he found his niche under the hood of anything with wheels which began as far back as his Tonka truck days on his childhood farm in Plaza. These days he can be found as the owner of the recently opened Classic Performance and Tire garage on Main Street in Makoti.
Some time ago, the Rensch family of Makoti was looking for a tenant for their building and Rob Edwards was looking for a new challenge. Rensch Garage brought with it a nearly one hundred year legacy of automotive service to the surrounding area according to Melissa Rensch, whose, husband, Brian Rensch, previous owner, passed away in 2013.
"We wanted to be sure that whoever took over the business would bring the same kind of commitment and dedication to excellence of service. We wanted to continue the strong community relationship that Brian and his family built up over the years," Rensch said. "We are so happy to have Rob here and that he is someone who cares about the service and the community. The showroom has never looked better and we are excited about all of the activity happening here in Makoti."
It is a challenge that Edwards takes seriously.
