Casino and Head Start partner to bring Christmas Cheer

Santa made an early stop in New Town recently and had a lot of help at the Four Bears Casino and Lodge. For the eighth year, Head Start and 4 Bears Casino staff partnered to kick off their toy drive and holiday gift giving for children. Each year the group provides a holiday event for all Head Start programs on the reservation. Approximately 164 children from all segments joined casino staff and Santa Claus for lunch, treats and gifts.
Amid dazzling Christmas trees, piles of presents and Christmas balloons, children filed into the ball room to eat their lunch and greet Santa. Excited chatter filled the room.
"It is a joy to do this for our children," Four Bears Casino HR Representative Sherri Steele said. "It is good to put the focus on them and we know by what they tell us that they look forward to this event."
