Building homes and lives on MHA Nation
By Logan J Davis
Helping to build the community of Parshall into the kind of place where anyone would want to live is one of the major goals of Northeast Segment Councilman Mervin Packineau.
Packineau was very proud to cut the ribbon last Friday in a memorable grand opening ceremony. That moment marked the completion of Phase 1 of housing development in the Fort Berthold Housing Authority’s Community Revitalization Project. More phases are already moving forward even as the occasion for completion of the first phase was being celebrated.
The 2020 Parshall Community Revitalization Project grand opening event was specifically for the five new units that are now ready for occupancy in Parshall. The mood was bright among Councilman Packineau, staff members of the Fort Berthold Housing Authority, FBHA Housing Board and all of the guests who attended the open house in Parshall in one of the new units. The unit for the open house had complete furnishings in the living room, kitchen, bathroom and all four bedrooms. Those furnishings were awarded as door prizes for 18 of the many guests who signed up at the open house.
