Big Changes in Parshall in 2019
By Jerry W. Kram
Parshall is a different place than when new year’s dawned a year ago. It has a different skyline and there are some new businesses to patronize.
January saw the opening of Parshall’s first new retailer in several years. The Family Dollar Store held its grand opening on an icy day, but its location on Highway 37 has meant it has been busy rain, shine or snow.
Store manager April McCann said she was excited to see new customers discover the store and all products the store has to offer.
“People can get anything from groceries to clothing to school supplies,” McCann said. “There are lots of things people would normally have to go to Minot for. Now they don’t have to.”
McCann said there was a great response to the store’s help wanted ads and is fully
staffed. The store will employ 10 to 15 workers depending on the season.
